Ford Focus

The third generation Ford Focus has been launched in Thailand early in this year. The 2013 Ford Focus is fully loaded with ASEAN-specifications and will be launched in India soon enough. The features incorporated in the car are called as safety and smart technology features which will be the standard features in the top-end variants. The two features which are very alluring in the car are the Active Park Assist System and Active City Stop. The Active Park Assist System helps the driver to park the car.


The driver gets only accelerator and brake inputs in the Active Park Assist system but the car parks itself in the particular spot of parking. This feature was brought into the industry by the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The German automaker showcased this feature in Volkswagen Passat and also it also used this feature to popularize the car in the TV commercial which were extensively using this Active Park Assist System in the car. The 2013 Ford Focus had got this technology but it is the cheapest car with this feature available as a standard feature.


The segment of 2013 Focus had a yet another attractive feature which is the Active City Stop feature of the car. In the Active City Stop feature brakes are automatically applied as soon as the car detects any object in front of the car. Though this feature has its own disadvantages but have a unique functioning. This can increase the chances of rear end collision as the car with this feature may stop but the other cars may not possess the same feature on road. The new Ford Focus is expected to arrive in India by Ford India by the year 2014. The expected price range of the Ford Focus can be bracket around Rs. 14 lakhs to Rs. 16 lakhs.
